Near Patient Testing Reagents

  • RBCR030 - Rabbit Brain Capillary Reagent - 6 x 5 ml

A freeze dried mixture of rabbit brain thromboplastin, adsorbed bovine plasma (devoid in factors II, VII, IX & X), calcium chloride and buffers. The reagent can be used to test capillary blood (finger prick), citrated whole blood or plasma and has been designed specifically for use in the control of oral anticoagulant therapy. The clotting times are significantly shorter than those obtained with Two-Seven-Ten reagent thus increasing the rate of patient through put.

  • CFPN110 - Finger Prick Control Plasma (Normal) - 10 x 0.5 ml
  • CFPA120 - Finger Prick Control Plasma (Abnormal) - 10 x 0.5 ml

Diagen Finger Prick Control Plasmas are designed to mimic, as closely as possible, the properties of capillary blood. They have a reagent defined INR and are suitable for use as controls for both the Two-Seven-Ten and the Rabbit Brain Capillary Reagents.
